Message	you want to remove the engine by separating the engine from the transmission while pulling it out, leaving the transmission in the car? I've never heard of anyone doing that on a Z. If you had an automatic I could see it possibly working, but there isn't enough room to move the engine forward to slide the input shaft out of the clutch. Maybe if you dropped the crossmember...but pulling the transmission from below would be far easier
